MindMint is a daily cognitive training app. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
MindMint collects the following categories of information:
- Anonymous app identifier. When you first use the app, MindMint creates a random app-specific user ID on your device so your training progress can be associated with your sessions.
- Training and progress data. This includes puzzle attempts, correctness, time spent, hints used, streak data, progress summaries, and your Cognitive Fitness Index (CFI).
- Optional account email. If you choose to back up your progress, you may provide your email address and verify it with a one-time code.
- Notification preferences. If you enable reminders, the app stores your reminder settings on your device. Local reminder scheduling happens entirely on-device.
- On-device settings and state. The app stores onboarding state, local progress state, session state, and sign-in state on your device.
2. How We Use Information
- To deliver daily puzzle sessions and track your progress over time.
- To restore backed-up progress when you choose to connect your email.
- To send and verify one-time passcodes for optional email-based account backup.
- To calculate your CFI, streak, and related progress views.
- To support the core reliability and security of the service.
3. What We Do Not Do
- We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs in the app at this time.
4. Notifications
MindMint can schedule local daily reminder notifications if you enable them. These reminders are generated and scheduled on your device. You can disable notifications in the app or in your device settings at any time.
5. Service Providers
We use service providers to operate MindMint, including infrastructure hosting and transactional email delivery for one-time verification codes. We may also use AI tooling on the backend to generate puzzle content for the app catalog. We do not use your data for advertising through these providers.
6. Data Retention
On-device data remains on your device until you delete it, reset it, or uninstall the app. Server-side account and progress data is retained while your account remains active, unless a longer retention period is required by law or for security, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons.
7. Your Choices
- You can use MindMint without providing an email address.
- You can turn notifications off at any time from the app or device settings.
- You can sign out locally from the Profile screen.
- You can reset local progress from the Profile screen.
- You can delete your account directly from the Profile screen in the app.
- You can request access to or deletion of server-side account data by contacting us at prakaku@gmail.com.
8. Children's Privacy
MindMint is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will investigate and take appropriate action.
9. International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live, subject to applicable law.
